The CGGS community mourns the loss of Dr Philippa Hetherington (2001), who passed away on Saturday, 5 November 2022. Philippa was a student at the Junior and Senior School during her time at CGGS and went on to have an outstanding career as an historian and academic. International Competitions and Assessment for School (ICAS) is a suite of online academic competitions for students in Years 2-12 that are delivered annually in conjunction with UNSW Global. On Friday, 21 October the Nexus Club enjoyed a “Ragtags and Royals” (pirates and royalty) movie and board game night. With a movie double feature of The Princess Bride and Pirates of the Caribbean and plenty of snacks and spectacular costumes, it was a fitting farewell for several of the Year 12 students in the club.
