Student News - Term 3 Week 2

Congratulations to Isabelle (Y12) who is performing a lead role in a contemporary dance project titled ‘Unhinged’ which will be performed on 28–29 July at Erindale Theatre.

A huge congratulations to Audrey (Y10), Samantha and Juliana (Y11) who represented Australia in Futsal on a tour of the United States over the holidays.

Zoe (Y7) received two certificates from the Computational and Algorithmic Thinking Competition. The CAT competition gives students the opportunity to develop their problem-solving skills through algorithmic thinking. Zoe received a certificate of high distinction which is awarded to a student who is in the top 2% of their year and region. She also received the best in school certificate for this competition.

Well done to Serina (Y12) who received a trophy for her achievements in the Australian Individual Debating and Public Speaking Championships, in which students participate and compete in several categories, including debating, public speaking, impromptu speaking and reading.

Congratulations to our da Vinci Decathlon team who competed in the Regional Finals in Sydney this week. The da Vinci Decathlon is an academic competition designed to challenge and stimulate the minds of school students. Students competed in teams across ten disciplines. The Year 6 team won the State Final in Art and Poetry, coming out on top over 150 other schools across the state. Well done to all who competed.
