Student News: Term 3 Week 10

Last Saturday was a big day for our CGGS hockey and netball teams, who played in their respective Grand Finals. The U18 Hockey team won their Grand Final 2-0, marking their eighth consecutive premiership. In netball, Year 7 Purple won 14-13, and Years 9–10 Lightning won 32-26 and Senior Green finished runner-up. Well done to all students who played in Grand Finals. At last week's Senior School Assembly, we were joined by indigenous artist and proud Wiradjuri woman living on Ngunnawal and Ngambri Country, Kalara Gilbert, who spoke to students and staff about the mural that has recently been installed in the Senior School Quad. Alice (Y6) won her semi-final in the ACT Rostrum competition. Her speech “Dig Deeper” told the true story of an Afghan refugee and his courageous efforts to escape Taliban forces.
