Student News - Term 1 Week 7 2023

Congratulations to Aahlya (Y4) and Jorja (Y5) who both qualified for the 2023 Youth National Speed Climbing Championships. Both girls were the top two ranked U10 climbers in the ACT.

At the 2022 School Sport ACT Excellence in Sport Awards, Olivia (Y7) was nominated for the 12&U Achievement and All-Rounder award, Chloe (Y11) won the 13&O Achievement award, and Lucy (Y12) won the 13&O Sportsmanship award and was also nominated for the 13&O Leadership award.

Senior School Swimming Carnival update - by Frankie (Y11 - Swimming Captail)

On Thursday, 9 March the 2023 Senior School Swimming Carnival was held at the AIS.

It was great to see so many students involved and having fun. There was strong competition in all events with competitors displaying both skill and sportsmanship,

The water volleyball was a huge success. All reports were that it was a really fun way to get involved at the carnival and have fun with friends.

The cheering on the day for School Houses and swimmers was a wonderful display of school spirit.

Special mention and celebration must go to our very own super fish Chloe (Y11), who smashed record after record. She was amazing in the pool!

A big thank you to Ms Hall and Ms Phelps and all the teachers who coordinated the carnival cooked the BBQ and swam in relays!

Thank you to all the captains who showed great leadership and helped organise races and relays, and helped bring a fun atmosphere to the carnival.
