Student News: Term 1 Week 4 2024

Jorja (Y6) finished fourth at the 2024 NSW/ACT Junior State Boulder titles. Jorja was the top ACT athlete, and heads into the Nationals in April as the #1 ranked ACT boulder and lead climber.

Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh (DoE) students recently completed an Adventurous Journey in Namadgi National Park. The students shone throughout their expedition, showing resilience, determination and perseverance as they endured difficult treks and challenging conditions.

Amid testing wind conditions, a delayed start and a late substitution, the CGGS Sailing team placed fourth in their division at the 2024 ACT Teams Racing Championships. Their final placing included several tied wins throughout the day.

Congratulations to the CGGS Open Girls Touch Football team, who won their grand final recently. The result is particularly impressive given that several of the students have been playing up a division.

One of the great rivalries continued at the CGGS Netball courts this week. Our Student Senior Council hosted Marist College Canberra for the annual CGGS v Marist Netball game. The brilliant match came down to the wire, but in the end it was Marist's day by a narrow margin. Thanks to Marist College for joining us for a fun afternoon, and to all that made it to the sidelines.
