More than 100 students and their fathers gathered last Thursday for the annual Year 6 Father Daughter dinner.

Students introduced their fathers to Mrs Coutts and Ms Whittaker on arrival and then made their way to the beautifully decorated tables. The guest speaker for the evening was Canberra Girls Grammar School parent, John Maljkovic who shared his daughter Angela’s story about her experience moving into Year 7, along with his own ‘transition’ to becoming a parent in the Senior School. The girls then moved onto the stage to sing two emotional songs for their fathers; Wings by Little Mix and So I Could Find My Way by Enya.

Fathers were appreciative of this special time with their daughters, a time to confirm the special bonds they have and also to have the opportunity to mingle with other dads.
