At the end of Term 2, the Heart Foundation visited our Junior School campus for our Jump Rope for Heart, in memory of our beloved Chaplain, the late Reverend Dr David Willsher, who passed away last year from a heart attack.
Our Year 5 students displayed their jumping skills through a series of tricks and fun routines, while learning about the importance of keeping our hearts healthy along the way.
This year, our students raised $11,000 for the cause. This means Canberra Girls Grammar School has contributed more than $50,000 to the Jump Rope for Heart program over the last six years. Well done girls!
In late June it was announced one of our Year 12 students, Monique Jeacocke, had earned a place in the Physics Australian Science Olympiads team. Congratulations, Monique!
