Reconnecting through music in 2021

It has been a long time between live performances for our wonderful young musicians at Canberra Girls Grammar School.  We pivoted and adapted to the many challenges placed before us in 2020 and ensured that every student remained connected and motivated to continue their musical journeys.  In the absence of live performances, we found new ways to connect with each other and the broader school community through ensemble concerts and solo recordings, staff faculty concert recordings, social media music challenges and more.  This period of time without the physical connection that musicians require to thrive and excel provided us with an opportunity to explore other mediums of pursuing excellence in music education and performance and to continue to achieve our best in music.  Many of which we are planning to continue into the future.

2021 presents a new opportunity to return to the stage and once again share our passion for live music performance with our school and broader community. Our Concert Series begins with Jazz at the Lake on Saturday, 13 March and continues two weeks later on Friday, 26 March with our Together in Music Concert featuring the long-awaited performance of Mozart’s Requiem.  Our wonderful Friends of Music team are firing and ready to go and we simply cannot wait to welcome our audiences back to share in the wonder and joy of music with us.

Tickets are limited for both Concert Series events and can be purchased here:
