Grand Final of Junior School Rostrum public speaking competition

Congratulations to Elise Wyatt (6C), the winner of the Year 6 Rostrum Grand Final at the Junior School. Held on Thursday, 20 May, Elise spoke with confidence and passion on the topic of ‘Going to Mars’, masterfully pointing out how gender inequities can occur in all areas of life.

Tara Jayawasal (6G) who spoke on the topic of ‘Glaciers’ was declared the runner-up in a very close competition between all six finalists.

Their exceptional preparation and audience appeal made this a difficult competition to adjudicate.  Special thanks go to our Year 6 timekeepers and Chair people. We wish Elise the best of luck as she progresses to the quarter finals in the interschool Rostrum Competition on 20 July.
