School holidays can be just as busy and active as term time. CGGS hosted a very successful virtual Australian Individual Debating and Public Speaking Championship (AIDPSC). Congratulations to Bella Mun (Y11), crowned the overall champion for AIDPSC. Bella won both the Debating and Interpretive Reading categories. Lauren Goldie (Y11) finished third in the Debating category and Tiffany Henson (Y11) won the After Dinner category.
CGGS also hosted a successful morning workout program, attended by many of our staff and students in Years 4 – 12. We even had a few parents and siblings join us. It was great to see so many people start their day positively, and share our sore legs on those low impact stretching days.
We welcome everyone back across various platforms in Term 4. As we move towards a staged return to campus, so too will our co-curricular sports and activities. Activities that can be run through zoom classes such as Debating and Dance will continue. Other non-sporting activities will be advised of changes from teachers in charge over the next few weeks. As for school sport, we continue to work with the ACT government and local associations, and look forward to updating you as soon as we can.
Until then, please continue to join us for CGGS morning fitness throughout Weeks 1 and 2, every weekday, 8am - 8:30am. Having something that we can actively participate in helps get us into the day with some bite. The daily workout schedule and login details are available on Agora. You just need yourself and a good pair of sneakers!
