After School Care
CGGS Junior School offers an After School Care program (ASC) for students enrolled in the Junior School. The ASC program provides children with a safe and nurturing environment, where they have opportunities to play, socialise and develop new skills with their peers and supportive educators. After School Care operates from Monday to Friday during school term time from the end of the school day (3.20pm) until 6.00pm. The program does not operate on Public Holidays or CGGS Pupil Free days.
A light and healthy afternoon snack is provided for all children attending and this is included in the fees.
Enrolments for ASC are accepted on a permanent and a casual basis.
- Permanent bookings are confirmed and guaranteed; however, fees are payable in the case of absence.
- Casual bookings are subject to places being available on a given day and cannot be guaranteed.
All bookings are made online, through the My Family Lounge or My Family Lounge App.

Fees (current for 2021 school year)
Permanent booking: $29.00/day
Casual booking: $35.00/day
Walk-ins: $41.00 per day (charged if you do not have a booking and your child attends the centre)
The preferred method of payment for Outside School Hours Care is via direct debit. Following submission of your child’s enrolment form, the Outside School Hours Care office will send you a direct debit form. The booking will be finalized subject to receipt of this completed form.

After School Care operates from the Undercroft in the main Junior School building on Grey Street, Deakin. Access is through the main Junior School Reception.
Absences and Cancellations
Absences must be advised in advance to ensure student accountability and safety. Parents can advise that their child will be absent using the My Family Lounge App (preferred) or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. In cases where advance notice of an absence is not given, a $15 “failure to notify” will be applied to the account.
Cancellations and changes to permanent bookings require 1 week’s notice. Fees are payable during the notice period.
*Please note that reinstatement of permanent bookings or changes to permanent bookings must be requested using the waitlist application process on My Family Lounge.
Cancellations to casual bookings may be made up to 12 noon on the day, without penalty. Cancellations made after this time will be charged full casual fees.
Our centre closes at 6.00pm and it is expected that all children are collected promptly by 6.00pm.
If a child is picked up from 6.01pm, a Late Collection fee of $50.00 per child will be charged.
