GALA CONCERT LIGHTS UP THE STAGE

Posted 23 September 2016 3:52pm

Last Saturday we held our 90th Anniversary Birthday Gala Concert. I was wonderful to see our whole School community come together, from Junior School students to the Grammarians who returned to school to sing with our choirs.

We were treated to an evening showcasing a wide range of music and celebrating the talents of our students. From a violin concerto played by our Music Captain, Georgina Chan, to our award-winning bands – it was an enjoyable evening.

The Jazz Band played outside in the interval while we ate and drank from stalls run by our dedicated Friends of Music.

The concert finished with over 400 students on stage joining together to sing Jerusalem and Amazing Grace in the style of, “Last Night of the Proms” and the audience sung lustily too.
