Senior School Swimming

Posted CGGS Newsletter 11 - 30 April 2010

On Wednesday 17 February, students participated in the annual CGGS House Swimming Carnival, at the Australian Institute of Sport Swimming Pool. Our School theme is ‘participation at all levels’. The Houses made the best of every opportunity and continued the School’s strong House tradition of themes and cheers. The Carnival was certainly a whole School event, with students and staff involved in ICT, recording, timing, photography, videoing, cheering, swimming and House spirit! It is the participation of all students and staff that makes this such an enjoyable event and I thank all involved for their tremendous support. Some highlights include:

  • Overall student participation in and out of the water during the day.

  • House Spirit Themes:

  • Our thanks must also go to Mrs Hardy, our School Swimming Captain’s mum, who continued our school tradition by presenting medallions and trophies to our winning students at our Week 8 assembly. Lastly, a big thankyou to all parents who came to support their daughters on the day of the carnival.
