Winning Fête poster revealed

The Canberra Girls Grammar School Fete is on again and in true Fete tradition, the Parents and Friends Committee enlisted the artistic talents of the Junior School students to help design the 2018 poster.  The students really embraced the theme of the Fete this year – our motto, ‘To the young anything is possible’ with over 140 posters from students in Prep to Year 6 submitted.

The variety and standard of artwork were of an incredibly high standard which made choosing a winning poster a real challenge.  After much time and discussion, the committee reached a decision was reached and the P&F is proud to announce the following winners:

1st Place: Francesca Bartone 4M
2nd Place: Zoe Theodorakis 6R
3rd Place: Sophie Frost 5B
Highly Commended Senior Primary: Harriet Allen 5P
Highly Commended Junior Primary: Andrew Brown Prep B

Congratulations to all students who entered.

This year the Fete will be on Saturday, 27 October and with a new layout on the Senior School Campus, it is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever.

There will be more than 50 stalls including hot food, cakes, salads, fairy floss, sweets, trash and treasure, plants and fresh-cut flowers, high-quality pre-loved books and clothing plus much more. Don’t miss the excitement for all ages with a student-run fashion parade, pony rides, farm animals, carnival rides, and free entertainment by the CGGS band, orchestras, choirs and other performers.

Put this date in your calendars and diaries today! We look forward to seeing you all there.
