Three CGGS students perform at the ACTcent Concert

It was a pleasure to attend the 4th annual ACTcent Concert at Llewelyn Hall at the ANU on Thursday 25 June. Our three senior music students, Cate Hallett (piano), Roisin Lyons (Irish harp) and Charlotte Strong (violin), performed beautifully.

Each year, student compositions and performances are submitted to the ACT Music Educators’ Network for nomination for inclusion in this concert. A panel of experts blind reviews the recordings submitted by schools and then selects 12 of the best for inclusion in the ACTcent Concert. This year, Cate, Roísín and Charlotte were selected to perform in this prestigious event.

The students were professional in their stage manner and very strong in their performances. We very much appreciate the accompaniment provided by Kylie Loveland for Charlotte, who opened the concert. Special thanks to the family, friends, staff and fellow students who attended the concert to support our performers.
