Senior students explore German culture through art

Posted 24 August 2017 7:03pm

The Senior German class went on an excursion to the National Gallery of Australia during Week 5 of this term.

The day began with a breakfast to celebrate the end of the Year 12 IB mock examination week and nearing the end of this two-year course. We then moved to a guided tour of works of art by German-speaking artists such as Frank Auerbach and Eugene von Guérard. Our guide provided us with new knowledge for units within the IB and BSSS courses.

Students also shared their own observations and posed good questions. We would like to thank the NGA and our guide for hosting us.
