The wait is over for our International Baccalaureate (IB) students who received their results on Thursday, 3 January 2019.

Congratulations to our top IB student for 2018, Tara Dabrowski, who earned a score of 43 which equates to an ATAR of 99.70. With this impressive result, Tara also secured the title of 2018 Dux of the School - the second year in a row we have seen an IB student claim the honour.

Tara held the position of Student Representative Council Chair throughout her final year at CGGS and in addition to her excellent academic results, also received the Grammarians Association Award for Service and Citizenship which was presented at the Year 12 Graduation Dinner on 6 December 2018.

As a cohort, our IB students achieved fantastic results with all candidates successfully completing their Diploma and over 83% earned a score of 37 or more – equivalent to an ATAR of 95.75.

Combined with the results of our ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies (BSSS) cohort, which we reported on in December 2018, the strength of our IB students’ results saw our median ATAR rise to 84.65.

  • Nine percent of students scored an ATAR above 98.00
  • One in four students achieved an ATAR exceeding 95.00
  • The median ATAR was 84.65
