ELC earns national Excellent Rating for a second time

After a lengthy and comprehensive application process, I was absolutely thrilled to receive the news that the Early Learning Centre had been awarded the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority’s (ACECQA) "Excellent" rating for a second time.

This rating is a testament to the dedication of the ELC staff to the well-being, education and growth of our students, and the partnerships we work so hard to build with parents and families.

Gabrielle Sinclair, CEO of ACECQA attended a small presentation ceremony at the ELC on Friday, 20 October where she spoke highly of the achievement.

“The Excellent rating is the highest rating a children’s education and care service can achieve under the National Quality Framework and only 71 services (out of Australia’s approximately 15,500 services) have been rated as Excellent since the National Quality Standard commenced in 2012,” said Ms Sinclair.

“It is a significant achievement that Canberra Girls Grammar ELC has achieved this high standard for a second time.  (As at August 2017) only 52 services are rated as Excellent as it is a very high bar to meet and not every service is awarded this rating a second time.”

We feel privileged to play a part in the lives of these young children in their formative years, and we thrive on creating an environment where children’s natural curiosity and their desire to learn about the world and their place within it, is nurtured.
