Connecting our Defence families

Posted 8 September 2017 9:38am

Late in August, our Defence Families came together for a Twilight Evening at the Science Atrium. With 96 Permanent Australian Defence students, and many Reserve and International Military Families within our Junior and Senior Campus, this was the perfect opportunity for families to catch up with old friends, make new connections and chat with the Canberrean Family Liaison Officer regarding issues faced by Defence families.

The weather was extremely kind and the colours of the sky as afternoon turned to evening provided a stunning backdrop for the musical performances by our Defence Students. Nicole Nielsen, the CGGS Defence Transition Mentor was so pleased she could meet the parents of the children she is here to support, and very grateful for the help from staff and students to organise such a wonderful event.
