Celebrating Christmas with our community

Posted 6 December 2019 9:00am

The School Chapel was overflowing on Sunday night as students, families, staff and members of the wider CGGS community celebrated the beginning of the Christmas season with a traditional service of Nine Lessons and Carols.

The readings from the Bible told the story of Jesus' birth from the Old Testament prophecies through to the well-known nativity story itself. The readings were interspersed with carols sung by the congregation and with beautiful music from our Girls Grammar choirs and musicians. With instruments as diverse as handbells and pipe organ, and singers ranging in age from the youngest of our Mini-Singers to the Community Choir, Christmas celebrations were well and truly launched!

Blessings,

Bishop Sarah Macneil
School Chaplain
