Access All Areas 2015

Posted 5 March 2015 3:56pm

The Access All Areas Concert will be held at the Senior School on Sunday 29 March.

Now in its fourth year, Access All Areas is an expo for all our music ensembles, to showcase the whole program in one afternoon.

Audience members are free to move between the three performance venues (the Hall, the Chapel and the Recital Room) to see a variety of performances, as well as extra performances in the Quad and B Block.

The concert is unique in that it features every ensemble in the Senior School: Chamber Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, String Orchestra, Symphonic Wind Band, Grainger Concert Band, Stanhope Concert Band, Hultgren Concert Band, Burrows Jazz Band, Morrison Jazz Band, Guitar Orchestras A and B, Chorale, all three Chapel Choirs, Gabriel Singers, Motet, Glee, Flute Ensemble, Clarinet Ensemble and two Percussion Ensembles.

Parents of students in the younger ensembles will be invited to participate in a session as part of an 'open rehearsal.' Junior Chapel Choir, String Orchestra and Hultgren Concert Band parents will have the opportunity to sit next to their daughter in the choir/orchestra/band and watch them at work as they rehearse a piece. Parents who can play an instrument are welcome to bring it and play along. As these are our Junior groups, your skill level doesn't need to be very high to join in.

The Friends of Music will be selling a BBQ lunch and drinks from 12.45pm in the Quad. Come along and have a bite to eat, enjoy the company of others and be entertained from 1pm, by the Burrows Jazz Band.

Purchase your tickets here for $10 each.
