17 students attend the Australian Combined Schools Music Festival

Seventeen talented students from Canberra Girls Grammar School have recently returned from five fantastic days of music making in Melbourne at the 19th Australian Combined Schools Music Festival.

Our students joined forces with more than 300 students from 13 schools, representing six states and territories to work with some of Australia’s most distinguished conductors in a Choral, Orchestral or Symphonic Band setting. This festival provided a great experience for our students to work at a very high level musically, with like-minded students of similar ability. Our students were a complete pleasure to take away and worked very hard for the duration of the festival. The concert they presented at Hamer Hall to conclude the festival was particularly enjoyable and each ensemble presented very polished and professional sounding pieces. Congratulations to all involved.
