Vision and Values
Canberra Girls Grammar School (CGGS) is an educational institution and learning is our core business. We understand that 'knowing' has shifted in meaning from being able to remember and repeat information to being able to find and use information.
Students need to learn a core of knowledge that will provide the common understandings and language needed to be able to work with others in a variety of contexts and develop the research and analytical skills to find and use information when it is required. Our aim is to develop students who will become independent, reflective, lifelong learners.
Vision
Canberra Girls Grammar School aims to be an example of educational excellence by:
- delivering outstanding academic, pastoral and co-curricular programs
- recruiting, developing and retaining high quality staff
- building a caring, inclusive and nurturing school community; and
- providing new ways of learning in an innovative, progressive and responsive educational environment.
Our Values
We strongly believe when the things you say and the things you do are in alignment with your beliefs, a thriving culture emerges.
We have developed a values system in our School that sees our core Anglican values as the foundation of everything we do.
Our organisation values see us bringing to life, a culture of teaching and learning - and our community values speak to the founding principles of the trailblazing women who began the journey to empower and develop well-educated young women, and create for them, a world of diversity, equality and inclusion.
